Original Redesign
Both covers have very similar concepts. They're both forest scenes with the ghostly shape of a woman. I really like the art style in the redesign, it looks really eye-catching, but it doesn't read as horror to me. I think it's mainly the font's fault, it looks like MG fantasy, which it certainly isn't. I see horror more in the original cover.

I get what you are saying about the font, but I love the woman emerging from the void between the trees.
