Waiting on Wednesday: Champion by Marie Lu

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, where you talk about whatever book you are IMPATIENTLY WAITING for!

This week I am waiting for...

Champion (Legend, #3) Goodreads Description:

The explosive finale to Marie Lu’s New York Times bestselling LEGEND trilogy—perfect for fans of THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT!

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

After the ending of Prodigy, I really really REALLY need to read this!!!!!!!!!

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Things That Instantly Make Me Pick Up A Book

Hosted each week by The Broke and the Bookish, it's a meme for listing the top ten for everything bookish.

This is a difficult one for me to come up with...
It's usually the whole synopsis that makes me want to read a book, not certain words or topics.
But there are a few...

1. ALIENS!!!!!
I have an OBSESSION with aliens!! But I am sad to say that there are just not enough alien books.
Some awesome alien books:
Obsidian (Lux, #1)   Onyx (Lux, #2)    Opal (Lux, #3)    Shadows (Lux, #0.5)

2. Time Travel
I also LOVE time travel! I'm a big Doctor Who fan and have dreams of inventing the time machine! So books about time travel? HECK YES!
Some awesome time travel books:
Clockwise (Clockwise, #1)   Found (The Missing, #1)   Image result for house of dark shadows book

3. Pretty Covers
This is kind of self-explanatory. You see a book with a pretty cover, you wanna pick it up.
Some pretty covers:  (I can go on and on and on with this one)
The Selection (The Selection, #1)    Half-Blood (Covenant, #1)     Breathe (Breathe, #1)     The Body Finder (The Body Finder, #1)     Carrier of the Mark (Carrier Trilogy, #1)    The Dark Divine (The Dark Divine, #1)

4. Blue Covers
I have an unusual attraction to blue covers. Maybe there's just a lot of blue covers, I don't know. But I seem to read A LOT of books with blue covers.
As proof of how many blue books I read, here are the blue books I read this month:
The Testing (The Testing, #1)    Clockwise (Clockwise, #1)    Slated (Slated, #1)     The Lost Saint (The Dark Divine, #2)    Mila 2.0 (MILA 2.0, #1)     The Rising (Darkness Rising, #3)    Bound (Arelia LaRue, #1)     Rebel Angels (Gemma Doyle, #2)

6. Dystopian Settings
Dystopian is my favorite genre, so if a synopsis mentions a dystopian world, I add it to my To-Read list.
Some awesome dystopian books:  (I could honestly go on and on about dystopian books)
Legend (Legend, #1)    Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1)    Divergent (Divergent, #1)     The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1)    Unwind (Unwind, #1)     Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1)     Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1)
7. Post-Apocalyptic
Same thing as Dystopian books. If it mentions the Apocalypse, I want to read it.
(Favorites very similar to the dystopians, since Goodreads can't tell the difference between dystopians and apocalyptic books...)

8. Ghosts
I get scared easily, but for some odd reason, I love ghost stories.
Some awesome books with ghosties in it:
Bad Girls Don't Die (Bad Girls Don't Die, #1)    The Ghost and the Goth (The Ghost and the Goth, #1)     Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1)    The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1)     Born at Midnight (Shadow Falls, #1)

9. Zombies
I don't know why I like zombie books... maybe because they are usually apocalyptic?
Some awesome zombie books:
Dearly, Departed (Gone With the Respiration, #1)     The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1)    Something Strange and Deadly (Something Strange and Deadly, #1)

10. Superpowers
I haven't been a big fan of this lately. I have always wanted superpowers, which is why I used to like this topic, but now this is getting overplayed in books.
Some awesome books with superpowers in it:
Gone (Gone, #1)    Hunger (Gone, #2)    Lies (Gone, #3)    Plague (Gone, #4)    Fear (Gone, #5)     Light (Gone, #6)
Probably the only books series I've read that has non-paranormal related superpowers...

So, what makes you pick up a book?
