Cover Lust: Wish by Barbara O'Connor

Cover Lust is something that I do every other week where I feature a book cover that I absolutely love!
Wish

Eleven-year-old Charlie Reese has been making the same secret wish every day since fourth grade. She even has a list of all the ways there are to make the wish, such as cutting off the pointed end of a slice of pie and wishing on it as she takes the last bite. But when she is sent to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to live with family she barely knows, it seems unlikely that her wish will ever come true. That is until she meets
Wishbone, a skinny stray dog who captures her heart, and Howard, a neighbor boy who proves surprising in lots of ways. Suddenly Charlie is in serious danger of discovering that what she thought she wanted may not be what she needs at all.

Why did I pick this cover?
This is another absolutely beautiful middle-grade cover. The second I saw this cover I wanted to read this book. I love the art style and the colors in the background are just stunning together. The color scheme itself is one of my favorite color schemes and I love the little seeds floating through the air. Most importantly, I love how the elements together truly show the girl and the dog in the middle and tells you right away that not only that they will be the focus of the story, but also shows the love between them. Honestly, it just makes my heart happy.
