Stacking the Shelves! (February 16th 2019)

Hosted by Tynga's Reviews. Stacking the Shelves is where all the booknerds can post about the lovely (or not so lovely) books that we've read, acquired, or discovered in the past week.
So, this week was my RETURN TO BLOGGING! After a two year hiatus. Which means, it's been a while since I typed up a Stacking the Shelves post. It also means that I haven't had a whole lot of blogging activity this week as I am trying to get back into the blogging groove. Nevertheless, I did do some reading and added A LOT of books to my TBR!
Here's my week in books!
If you haven't heard of PaperbackSwap I strongly recommend it! You send people books that you no longer want and get credits for them which you then use to request books from others.
NEW DISCOVERIES
I added a lot of books to my TBR this week. Partly because I was looking up books coming out this year and the next. I decided to list the books anyway in case anyway wants to add them to their TBR as well!
I DID NOT RECEIVE OR BUY THESE BOOKS. I only added them to my TBR list.
Other books with no cover art (not even a placeholder cover):
My Contrary Mary by Cynthia Hand & Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows, The Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Virtue by Ally Carter, Trylle Spinoff by Amanda Hocking, The Other Side of the Sky by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner, Set Fire to the Gods by Sara Raasch & Kristen Simmons, Sparrow by Mary Cecilia Jackson, The Empire of Dreams by Rae Carson, and The How and the Why by Cynthia Hand.

Waiting on Wednesday: Finale by Stephanie Garber

Waiting on Wednesday (or Can't Wait Wednesday) is a weekly meme, hosted by Wishful Endings, where you talk about whatever book you are IMPATIENTLY WAITING for!
This week I am waiting for...

Why am I waiting?

Welcome, welcome to Caraval...all games must come to an end.
It’s been two months since the last Caraval concluded, two months since the Fates have been freed from an enchanted deck of cards, two months since Tella has seen Legend, and two months since Legend claimed the empire’s throne as his own. Now, Legend is preparing for his official coronation and Tella is determined to stop it. She believes her own mother, who still remains in an enchanted sleep, is the rightful heir to the throne.
Meanwhile, Scarlett has started a game of her own. She’s challenged Julian and her former fiancé, Count Nicolas d’Arcy, to a competition where the winner will receive her hand in marriage. Finaly, Scarlett feels as if she is in complete control over her life and future. She is unaware that her mother’s past has put her in the greatest danger of all.
Caraval is over, but perhaps the greatest game of all has begun―with lives, empires, and hearts all at stake. There are no spectators this time: only those who will win...and those who will lose everything. . .
Release Date: May 7th 2019
Why am I waiting?
I loved Legendary! I loved it even more than Caraval! I'm very excited to see how this series will end! In fact, I've already preordered the book!

Hello, Hello
So, it's been a while since I posted "I'm Not Dead", explaining my lack of posting and my need for a break from blogging.
This "break" turned out to be for more than two years.
When I created that post, I think I did believe that I was not going to come back. I was stressed and I felt like I wasn't a part of the book blogging world. To be honest, after I started my hiatus, things were still stressful for me (some of which I really don't want to get into right now).
Now, though, I am done with college and things have settled (kind of). I'm in a lull, trying to figure out what is next, and I've been looking at my old book reviews and looking for new books to read, and I realized that I miss posting on here. So...I'm back!
I don't really expect anyone to be reading this. Honestly, I didn't have very many followers before and I don't blame anyone for unfollowing within my "hiatus". That is something that I want to change my viewpoint on. I used to stress about the fact that no one was reading my posts, so what was the point? My new line of thinking, it doesn't matter if no one reads my posts. As selfish as it sounds, I need to think about posting for me and use this blog to just talk about books and as a destresser instead of a source of stress. To not worry about posting a certain number of times a week.
We'll see how this goes. I'm going to start posting some content this week! Meanwhile, I will be updating my previous reviews. I've been noticing some cringy typos *shudders*
Also, if anyone happens to be reading this post, I need some more blogs to follow! Many have disappeared from my email feed these past two years and I'm wanting to follow some new blogs! If you have a blog, feel free to tell me it!
Sincerely,
