RECENT COVER REVEALS #3 (March 17th 2013)

For the past for weeks I have collected a list of cover reveals!
You have probably seen most of these lovelies already but...
I'm going to show them to you anyway!

Resist (Breathe #2)
Resist (Breathe, #2)

I don't like this as much of the first cover (probably because there's no purple... I like purple)
but I still really like this cover!

These Broken Stars (Starbound #1)
These Broken Stars (These Broken Stars, #1)

I like the stars.
I admit it, I am a BIG fan of books with star covers!

The Unbound (The Archived #2)
The Unbound (The Archived, #2)

Just like how I like star covers, I like it when a cover has a color scheme!
And this certainly has a color scheme!
It also matches the first book!(BONUS POINTS!!!)

Siege and Storm (The Grisha #2)
Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2)

Yes!!! I love this series' covers!! They're just so different!
Enough said.

Unchosen (The Reaper Diaries)
Unchosen (The Reaper Diaries, #2)

Wow, Molly sure looks older than 12.
Hopefully she'll act older than 12...
(Sorry, not a fan of the first book)

Horde (Razorland #3)
Horde (Razorland, #3)
I have yet to read book 2 but i'm glad that this book matches the other books!
I like series books to match (Write that down, cover designers)

Through the Zombie Glass (White Rabbit Chronicles #2)
Through the Zombie Glass (White Rabbit Chronicles, #2)
Color scheme.
Matchy book cover.
You know the drill.

The Wicked Within (Gods and Monsters #3)
The Wicked Within (Gods & Monsters, #3)
I love the mask! I hate in when I have to wear a mask in real life but in book covers, I LOVE them!

Unbreakable (Legion #1)
Unbreakable (Legion, #1)
Not a big fan of cover. I'm sorry, i'm more of a "pretty cover" type of person...
This does not scream "pretty cover!" it screams "fire!" and "pain!"

Well, that's it for now!
Hopefully, I'll have more next time!

REVIEW: Mind Games by Kiersten White

Mind Games (Mind Games, #1)
Fia and Annie are as close as two sisters can be. They look out for each other. Protect each other. And most importantly, they keep each other's secrets, even the most dangerous ones: Annie is blind, but can see visions of the future; Fia was born with flawless intuition—her first impulse is always exactly right.

When the sisters are offered a place at an elite boarding school, Fia realizes that something is wrong . . . but she doesn't grasp just how wrong. The Keane Institute is no ordinary school, and Fia is soon used for everything from picking stocks to planting bombs. If she tries to refuse, they threaten her with Annie's life.

Now Fia's falling in love with a boy who has dark secrets of his own. And with his help, she's ready to fight back. They stole her past. They control her present. But she won't let them take her future.

While I LOVED Paranormalcy, I didn't quite like this book as much.
My first problem, is how serious this book is. I realize that Paranormalcy has some serious aspects but Paranormalcy has some comic relief which helps. This book had no comic relief.

The 2nd thing is that it could get confusing.
Not only are the chapters alternating between sisters but you also get flashbacks.
I liked knowing how the sisters got to be where they are but the flashbacks make it difficult to tell where you are in the story.

Now onto the things I liked.
The voice of the sisters.
While I didn't exactly like the sisters, you can definitely tell whose voice is whose when you start a chapter (without reading the name at the top). And this is a great thing in the book! You get bored if you can't distinguish whose voice is whose!
I also loved how the sisters still love each other even after what they might have done and that they have basically been living through hell.
And finally, I liked the idea of the story.
While it might sound controversial for me to say that I liked that this book was about assassins (since I didn't like the seriuosness), this was a major reason to why I picked the book up in the first place.

In Conclusion:
My feelings for this book is kind of in the middle.
There were things I liked and things I didn't like.
But if you don't mind the things I didn't like about this book, you might as well pick it up and read it.

I hereby give this book
3 Wheels
Meaning: I liked it but it's one Wheel away from being amazing.
