Waiting on Wednesday: Divergent #3 by Veronica Roth

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, where you talk about whatever book you are IMPATIENTLY WAITING for!

This week I am waiting for...

Goodreads Description:

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?

What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The explosive conclusion to Veronica Roth’s #1 New York Times bestselling Divergent trilogy reveals the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

This book doesn't need any explaining for why I want it...

Top Ten Tuesday - Top Seven Books I HAD To Buy...But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread

Hosted each week by The Broke and the Bookish, it's a meme for listing the top ten for everything bookish.

This won't be a very long list since most of the books I own and not read are...
1. Ebooks I got for free (so I didn't buy them)
2. books I got for free or really really cheap and didn't HAVE to buy them. They were just at Bookaholic...

All of these follow a pattern. I read the previous book in the series and really wanted the next book (either because it wasn't at the library or I wanted a copy for myself). But then I get so emorsed in another series and forget all about the book I bought.

NOTICE: Bookaholic is a used bookstore in my town.

From Bad to Cursed (Bad Girls Don't Die, #2)

Pure (Covenant, #2)

Monsters of Men (Chaos Walking, #3)

Betrayal (Haunting Emma, #2)

Darklight (Wondrous Strange, #2)

Original Sin (Personal Demons, #2)

Spiral

Some of these are really new and others have been sitting on my shelf for quite awhile...
Well, I have less than 20 books I own and haven't read (not counting those free ebooks) and these are actually most of them.

So, what books do you have on your shelf?

It also matches the first book!(BONUS POINTS!!!)

Unbreakable (Legion, #1)
Not a big fan of cover. I'm sorry, i'm more of a "pretty cover" type of person...
This does not scream "pretty cover!" it screams "fire!" and "pain!"

Well, that's it for now!
Hopefully, I'll have more next time!

REVIEW: Mind Games by Kiersten White

Mind Games (Mind Games, #1)
Fia and Annie are as close as two sisters can be. They look out for each other. Protect each other. And most importantly, they keep each other's secrets, even the most dangerous ones: Annie is blind, but can see visions of the future; Fia was born with flawless intuition—her first impulse is always exactly right.

When the sisters are offered a place at an elite boarding school, Fia realizes that something is wrong . . . but she doesn't grasp just how wrong. The Keane Institute is no ordinary school, and Fia is soon used for everything from picking stocks to planting bombs. If she tries to refuse, they threaten her with Annie's life.

Now Fia's falling in love with a boy who has dark secrets of his own. And with his help, she's ready to fight back. They stole her past. They control her present. But she won't let them take her future.

While I LOVED Paranormalcy, I didn't quite like this book as much.
My first problem, is how serious this book is. I realize that Paranormalcy has some serious aspects but Paranormalcy has some comic relief which helps. This book had no comic relief.

The 2nd thing is that it could get confusing.
Not only are the chapters alternating between sisters but you also get flashbacks.
I liked knowing how the sisters got to be where they are but the flashbacks make it difficult to tell where you are in the story.

Now onto the things I liked.
The voice of the sisters.
While I didn't exactly like the sisters, you can definitely tell whose voice is whose when you start a chapter (without reading the name at the top). And this is a great thing in the book! You get bored if you can't distinguish whose voice is whose!
I also loved how the sisters still love each other even after what they might have done and that they have basically been living through hell.
And finally, I liked the idea of the story.
While it might sound controversial for me to say that I liked that this book was about assassins (since I didn't like the seriuosness), this was a major reason to why I picked the book up in the first place.

In Conclusion:
My feelings for this book is kind of in the middle.
There were things I liked and things I didn't like.
But if you don't mind the things I didn't like about this book, you might as well pick it up and read it.

I hereby give this book
3 Wheels
Meaning: I liked it but it's one Wheel away from being amazing.
