2015 in Review!

In 2014, everyone was doing an end of the year survey. I looked at the questions, Best Book You Read In 2014? Favorite new author you discovered in 2014? Favorite cover of a book you read in 2014? Really? How am I supposed to answer those! I read way too many books to answer those questions! So, I made my own little year in review, and I'm going to do it again with this year in review! Here's how my 2015 went!

Number of Books Read:  344(Not counting rereads)
Number of Pages: 110,077 (Not counting rereads)

I'm quite surprised by the large amount of paranormal books, as I've not had much luck with them and am tiring of the genre. Still, I am noticing that I've read a variety of different genres this year (though some of the books were probably counted twice since they count for more than one genre)
Some fabulous paranormal books I read last year:

Wellllll...
I guess I didn't keep my resolution to buy less books. In my defense, you may notice that most of the books I bought were from used bookstores, cheap book sales, and book outlet (where most of the books cost $1-$4).

Wow, I sure love those new releases. I'm not that surprised. I always want to pick up the new pretties, though I hope to read more 'older' books.

Blogging!
I started my blog in 2012 out of complete boredom. I didn't understand the work it takes to create a blog, so The Psychotic Nerd just sat there collecting dust. As part of my 2014 news years resolution, I decided to revive my blog. I'm glad to say that I kept up that resolution both in 2014 and 2015!

Bloglovin' Followers: 258
GFC Followers: 244
Email Subscribers: 57

My stats seem small, but I had just over 100 followers at this point last year, that's how much my blog has grown.
Along with that, I have posted 529 blog posts181 were book reviews!
I made it my goal to review every book I read, didn't make it, but I reviewed more than half of the books I read!
In 2014372 blog posts (86 were reviews, 24 were short reviews)
In 2013, I had only 84 blog posts and only 11 reviews!
So, I did definitely improve!

I also redesigned my blog this year!
    Music
I also have a large obsession with music, so I thought it deserved mention. I had Spotify premium this year, which enabled me to listen to without offline and without ads. According to Spotify's year in review, I listened to over 113 thousand minutes on music on Spotify alone...

    Other Life Happenings
This was a pretty average year for me. Nothing huge happened in my life. I finished my first year of college and started my second. I started writing my own book during NaNoWriMo, got 10,000 words in, and still writing. I went to RT for the third time. I saw multiple authors at my local bookstore (Ally Carter, Jandy Nelson, Ally Condie, Meg Wolitzer, Claire Caterer, Debra Dockter, Mary E. Pearson. Bethany Hagen, and Joelle Charbonneau). But really, this was just an average year for me, full of books, music, friends, and homework.

    The Year Ahead
I expect this to be another average year, which is perfectly fine this year. I'm looking forward to going to RT again. I'll be "graduating" from community college and moving on to a 4 year college, which will be further away from home but only by an hour and a half.
I'm also going to my first ever concert! Actually, I'm going to two this year, both in the same month! I'll be seeing Fall Out Boy in my hometown (Wichita, KS) and Melanie Martinez in Kansas City! Other than that, there's not a whole lot happening this year, but who knows what will happen!

Anyway, there goes my extremely factual Year in Review! I hope you guys have a great 2016!
