Stacking the Shelves (January 10th 2015)

Hosted by Tynga's Reviews. Stacking the Shelves is where all the book nerds can post about the lovely (or not so lovely) books that they've got this week.

So, last week I mentioned that my dog injured her leg. She's going in for surgery on Monday and, hopefully, they will be able to fix her leg. Right now she's hobbling around the house on 3 legs. She's doing okay, but her other back leg, the injured one, is getting tired and the vet mentioned that her uninjured leg is at risk at also being injured from all the strain put on it. She's doing okay, but for some reason, she doesn't want to lay down! We keep trying to get her to relex, but she loves to follow everyone around the house.

In other news, I made a new goal to review every book I read this year. Now idea how well that will work out. I know most reviewers do this, but I read so many books (I read over 400 books last year, including rereads) that I just pick in choose instead. I tried to do this a few years ago and it didn't work out, but I really want to review more!

P.S. The covers take you to the book's Goodreads page!

Books I've Read in the Past Week

From the Libary

From Barnes & Noble

From Half Price Books

*hides* I know, I know. Just last week I decided that I should buy less books (I found out that I bought almost 300 books last year). What's even worse is that I don't even have a Half Price book store near me...
By the way, there are only SIX books on here that I have not read (Inbetween, Near Witch, and the 4 Strange Chemistry books)

NEW DISCOVERIES
I add books to my TBR pile so often, that I decided to include the new additions to my ever-growing list.
I DID NOT RECEIVE OR BUY THESE BOOKS. I only added them to my TBR list.

I blame Top Ten Tuesday

I also have a giveaway running, so check that out!

Anyway, what books did you haul in this week?

  3. Awesome haul! So many great books! You really read A LOT. I'm jealous, lol. Good luck with your reviewing goal. I hope your dog heals quickly. It's hard to get them to relax and rest. Good news about my cat though. Last week he collapsed from low blood sugar, but after getting checked by the vet, it turns out that his diabetes is in remission!! Yay!! I'll be sending his good luck to you now! Enjoy your new books!

  4. So many books! And can't we all blame Top Ten Tuesday for massive TBR piles? I'm pretty sure I add books every single week based on those posts.

  5. Awww, I am so sorry that your dog injured her leg. :( I hope that her surgery goes well and they are able to fix her leg.

Wow, you read over 400 books last year? That's incredible! Congrats! I used to be able to do that, but recently I just haven't had enough time. :( It's really sad.

What did you think of Afterworlds? I tried reading it (I got an ARC) but I just couldn't finish it. Yet I haven't officially DNF'd it...so it's kind of in this weird limbo state. I got The Testing from Kindle Unlimited a while ago, but haven't read it yet. I also have TATBILB and Revived on my TBR list. I read Output and the Pledge a while ago- both were okay. I loved Perchance to Dream and that whole series!

  6. Nice haul this week and congrats on the win! I hope you enjoy all your new reads. I loved Velveteen. It's a dark book... but a good one.
